Theoretically, a 72" wide panel will effectively cover
a 64" wide opening (when allowing 4" on each side for overlap).
Openings wider than 64", therefore, present an engineering challenge as
it would be a large mistake not to provide support where adjacent
panels meet. To address this challenge, we offer two possible
solutions. The first involves the use of an Aluminum extrusion in the
form of an upper-case "H" (sort of - see the Photos and Videos page for
a close-up of this extrusion). This product provides the necessary
support where two panels abut one another. The second involves the use
of two of our lower-case "h" extrusions attached to opposite edges of a
2x4 or 2x6. In either case, it is necessary to securely anchor the tops
and bottoms of these center supports to something solid. Please also
note that the panel should be fully engaged into the extrusion(s), i.e.
the full 1.5" depth of the "throat" in the channel. (As mentioned on
the Products/Pricing page, these items have not undergone any
specific laboratory testing, but are believed to be adequate for this
purpose.) Use your browser's "Back" button to return to the previous
